Hello world!

libraryhacker.org is a group blog written by practicing library sysadmins and programmers.  It’s primary focus is the discussion of news and practical tips and techniques of interest to library hackers working in the trenches.  More theoretical discussion is also on topic but is not the focus of the blog.  Although its founders primarily use open source software, discussion of proprietary technology is also on-topic as long as it doesn’t turn into advertising.

Posts will be written and comments will be moderated with the following principle in mind: libraryhacker.org is to be an inclusive, respectful space where all library hackers (and librarians, library users, and even any library PHBs who drop by) are welcome.  This is not the place for BOFHs who don’t also know how to be civil.
